YWCA Sonoma County
is pleased to offer the
Katie Duffy Memorial Educational Scholarship
Application period: Year-round
Katie Duffy was a young woman who made great strides in reaching her full potential through her volunteer work at the YWCA Sonoma County. She began this work at the age of 22 and continued for a decade before she succumbed to kidney failure at only 32 years old.
As a volunteer, Katie worked in the administration office and fielded calls to the YWCA Crisis Hotline. She later joined the Board of Directors, achieving the position of Board President, where she served for two and a half terms. Despite Katie’s struggles as a renal patient, she was an inspiration and role model for young women seeking the courage to overcome obstacles while remaining undaunted in pursuit of their dreams.
Please find the application here.
